MRS. MARSHALL’S CLASSROOM EXPECTATION PLAN

 

 

 

GENERAL SCHOOL CLASS RULES (kids will design 3 more to create the “TOP 6”)

 

 

  1. Be Safe.

  2. Be Respectful.

  3. Be Polite.


 

 

 

 

 

Consequences:

 

They will be natural and used to maintain and enhance the learning community for all students.

 

1. 1st Time:        Modeling, Explaining, Rehearsing, Reinforcing.

 

2. 2nd Time:        Give Me A Minute (refocus area for 1 minute).

 

3. 3rd Time:                Give Me A Minute (refocus area for 2 minutes).

 

4. 4th Time:                Refocus during recess or lunch and note home.

 

5. 5th Time:        Call Home and possible conference to make a Cooperative Plan.

 

Severe disruption or non-compliance: Student immediately sent to office.

 

 

 

The last hour of each Friday will be the POWER HOUR, and students can have Kid’s Choice time, play Brain Games, or participate in special projects.   Students with missing assignments, missing homework, or who have had repeated behavior consequences throughout the week will use this time to get caught up.

 

 

 

Rewards:

 

Rewards will vary in use and frequency in accordance with circumstances.

 

1. Consistent feedback and praise (Daily!).

 

2. Earning good grades.

 

3. Note or phone calls home.

 

4. Kid’s Choice Time.

 

5. Extra recess minutes.

 

6. “Shoes Off” Friday or POWER HOUR activities.

 

7. Class Parties or Movie/Popcorn Events.

 

8. Various other positive perks.

 

9. A well managed class where learning can take place for everyone, everyday.
